Performance Shot - $35

This shot includes l-arginine, l-citrulline, l-ornithine, l-carnitine. These select amino acids help work on the nitric oxide pathway to increase more blood flow to the muscles. They also help stop muscle break down and increase lean muscle mass. The increased blood flow helps with muscle recovery as well as performance.

l-arginine – It can reduce blood pressure and reduce infection rates. The reduction of blood pressure is through an increase in nitrous oxide (NO) production. This increased production allows for blood vessels to become larger. As the blood vessels become larger, more oxygen is allowed to the body for use. More oxygen leads to better blood flow to the muscles for recovery and performance (McRae).
l-citrulline – Enhances exercise performance and recovery through raising NO production. This acts similarly to l-arginine in that it increases the diameter of the blood vessels. The increased diameter allows for more oxygenated blood to reach the muscles and tissues (Gonzalez).
l-ornithine – It can relieve stress and improve sleep quality related to fatigue. L-ornithine has been found to have an anti-fatigue effect. This effect is caused by increasing the efficiency of energy consumption and promoting the excretion of ammonia in the body (Sugino).
l-carnitine – Studies have shown that using this amino acid can lead to increased muscle mass. It also decreases body weight and reduced physical and mental fatigue. It could help prevent age-associated muscle protein breakdown and work at helping the mitochondria perform better (Fielding).
